Lysimachia Congestiflora Loosestrife Yellow Summer Flower

LOOSESTRIFE
One of the most rewarding patio plants has . been available from specialists ever since 1992, but it still has not managed to achieve a large-scale breakthrough. Perhaps it is the yellow flowers that prevent it from becoming popular, or perhaps the intervals following the various periods of flowering. Still, this particular loosestrife should attract far more interest.
The plant has a spreading habit and half trails over the rim of a pot. Its dense foliage makes a splendid filler. The cultivar Lysimachia congestiflora ‘Lyssi’ is the version most frequently available. Its small flowers have red centers. The plant is propagated by cuttings, but it grows slowly and takes a long time to cultivate, and that makes it pricey. Stand the plant in a place that is warm but not too sunny – to prevent scorching – and then water normally.
