Coleostephus Myconis is Compact and a Popular Summer Flower Plant

The compact, mat-forming habit of Coleostephus makes it highly suitable as an annual for rockeries, flower-beds, edges of paths and patios, and for cultivation in containers. A species from southern Europe and North Africa, it likes warmth and sunlight, and its somewhat succulent, bluish-green foliage tolerates such conditions very well.
The plants are available from May onwards. If you sow directly outdoors, you will see the first flowers by the end of June and will be able to enjoy the V4-in wide flowers until far into September. They grow to about 8 in above the ground.
Coleostephus myconis ‘Gerim’ is very compact and therefore of particular interest to commercial growers. These plants are on sale in May and June. Coleostephus myconis ‘Moonlight’ is popular among gardeners because of its pale-yellow flowers, which go well with other colors. Coleostephus myconis ‘Sunlight’ is the egg-yellow counterpart of’Moonlight.’
