Must Have Garden Tools
Whether you are a serious gardener or not, you must have the basic gardening tools necessary to keep your garden under control. Gardening is never dull especially if you have the proper tools needed to do to the job. The most basic garden tools include pruners, shears, knife, axe, weeders and tool sharpeners.
Shears are just like scissors. They are used to cut small branches and to trim leaves. They can also be used to cut wire if you don’t have tin snips or wire cutters.
Knives are good for cutting anything from twine even cleaning your dirty fingernail. There are many kinds of knives which are used for specific tasks like the grafting knife which is used to make cuttings for grafting, harvesting knife for cutting greens in the vegetable garden. A special knife is used to cut to roots of potted plants to free them from the pots and another knife is used for those plants that are on the ground.
Machetes, axes and hatches are all used to cut something. Machetes will make your task of dividing perennials easy as well as for clearing brush and saplings. Axes and hatches on the other hand are also used to cut things.
Weeders come in different sizes and shapes, all to make cutting the grass easy.
Tool sharpeners are as its name implies used to sharpen your tools. There are different types of tool sharpener for different garden tools.
Pruners are used to cut branches and there are different types for specific jobs.An example is the long-reach rose pruner which will keep your arms clear of the thorns as wel as cut and hold on to the rose stem.
